Spring Field Trips at Meadows Family Farm

A hands-on farm adventure—at your own pace!

Bring your class, daycare, or homeschool group to Meadows Family Farm this spring for a self-led field trip experience designed to be fun, flexible, and stress-free for teachers and educators.

Your group is free to explore the farm at your own pace, allowing children to learn, play, and discover in a natural farm setting without being rushed from station to station.

• Visit and observe friendly farm animals

• Explore open farm areas and outdoor play spaces

• Take a scenic train ride

• Learn about farm life through hands-on discovery

• Plenty of space to run, play, and explore together

 No schedules. No rotations. No pressure.

Cost: 

Students - $10/each (gst included)

Teachers and EA's/Support Staff receive free admission

Parents/Adults - $6/each

Siblings - $10/each

What to Expect on Your Field Trip

​

A field trip to Meadows Family Farm is designed to be relaxed, flexible, and fun for both children and educators.

All of our field trips are self-led, which means your group is free to explore the farm at your own pace. There are no timed rotations, guided schedules, or strict timelines to follow.

​

 Arrival & Check-In

• Upon arrival, your group will check in with our staff

• You’ll receive a brief orientation and directions around the farm

• After check-in, your group is free to begin exploring

​

 A Self-Led Experience

Your class or group can move through the farm in whatever way works best for you:

• Stay together as one group or break into smaller groups

• Spend more time where your students are most engaged

• Take breaks when needed for snacks, washrooms, or rest

This flexible format is especially great for younger children, mixed-age groups, and special needs groups.​

 

 Supervision

• All children must be supervised by their teachers, caregivers, or parents at all times

• Our staff are on site for assistance, safety, and questions, but do not guide the group

​

 Outdoor Experience

• Field trips take place outdoors

• Please dress for the weather and farm conditions (rain boots are recommended in spring!)

​

 A Calm, Enjoyable Farm Day

Our goal is to provide a stress-free, enjoyable farm experience where children can connect with animals, nature, and each other — all while learning through exploration and play.
